A nearly forgotten project of the Barcelona ’92 Summer Olympic Games Cultural Olympiad left a peculiar trace on the city’s streets: a series of bronze plaques on buildings of special artistic and historical interest.
Extensive research has determined the number of unique plaques and their exact locations. Now it is clear that the initiative of the renowned chronicler Lluís Permanyer, the distinctive design of the celebrated André Ricard, and the list of remarkable buildings selected by respected expert Josep Maria Carandell have themselves become part of the legacy of Barcelona ’92 — and an invitation to explore the city through the unique route.
